P-3 Artists and Entertainers

Certain artists and entertainers are admitted to the United States if they are coming temporarily to the United States, either as an individual or as an integral part of the performance of the group, to perform, teach, or coach under a commercial or non-commercial program that is culturally unique.

The P-3 petition is filed using form I-129 by the sponsoring organization or a United States employer. Essential support personnel may not be included on the petition filed for the principal alien. These individuals require separate petitions. The petition may not be field more than 6 months in advance of the actual need for the persons services.
